Well, see the difficult aspect of Brenn is that he is fully capable of being a diplomatic and perfectly decent human being, but mission and country come first. So, I guess they could meet, but if he knew you we're a witcher, then it might be tough. Nilfgaardians are a little on edge about witchers I'd assume after the events of the second game.
