Desmond sat there as precious minutes ticked away. He couldn't take all the waiting, but he just had to. He pretty much was meditating by now, visualizing the dark energy swirling into his body and spreading through his bloodstream, into his lungs, coating his insides black. In ways, this helped, to the point where he was counting the minutes as they passed. Twenty four minutes, exactly... At this point his body was pulling him towards it, ready for him to come back, but even if he did, he'd be trapped in an immobile body for the duration of the time left. So he sat and kept it up.
