Name: Michaelea 'Sandy' Reynolds. Age: 17 Appearance: She is a thin slip of a girl, one couldn't imagine her standing up against a strong wind let alone to physical torture and brutal punishment. her pale skin is almost white in hue though it retains enough peach qualities to avoid her looking quite like a corpse. Her long hair, turned white from stress and despair, fell in feather light waves that needed constant brushing to avoid knotting. She had an innocent face with a pair of pale pink lips cracked from her incarceration and a faint pink hue to her cheeks which might hint at a near perpetual fever. It's her eyes that demand the most attention, devoid of pupil or iris they had a mirror like coating to them that seemed neither to hold colour or be colourless either, milky white but silver all at once and dependent on those who were looking. Though a more accurate and precise description is hard to come by, no one remembers. She stands at five feet and four inches, with a petite and slender frame, thin arms clung to faintly defined musculature, long thin fingers which once played piano were raw with short clipped nails. She has a meager chest but befitting of her frame and modest nether the less for her size but hardly flattered by the hospital gown she was forced into which fell to the knees. Slender legs didn't seem much cut out for running, despite how taut and defined the calves appeared to be and dainty feet with clipped short toe nails were often left bare. History: She honestly remembers very little of her time before the facility, flashes more than anything though her records would say this. She was born as Michaelea Reynolds, from birth she was told it was just a matter of time before she went blind and with surprising grace she accepted it. She always 'knew' there was something more waiting for her. Childhood was hard, except when she played her piano, children didn't quite know how to interact with her and she was no good at sports or traditional playground games. As she grew older she began to 'scare' people, she knew what they were thinking before they said it and she was teased for being a witch until she tried to take her own life at barely nine years old. Doctors were called in to see her and she learned that lying made them go away quicker than the truth did, she was fully blind by the age of eleven and was moved to private tutoring due to her inability to be in a class room environment. She got on well with her tutor and did her best to not reply to his thoughts and only his words which she recognized through a slight vibration through the wood in the table she sat at with him. Though she made a few mistakes along the way, she was sure of it, he never bought her up on it. One day her parents and her were out at a party of one of her old school friends, one of the children, unaware of her condition, threw a ball at her which hit her right in the face and knocked her to the ground. To his credit he rushed over and beat the adults to her but it was then that all sorts of things started to go...wrong. She only remembers screaming and heat but the truth of the matter was much darker. For a while, since the 'witch' incident as a child she had been watched and at the party her gift manifested for the first time, the boy, who was unfortunate enough to look into her eyes when her glasses fell away, bought to life a host of nightmarish creatures and the boy's screams began to scare the other children. These screams only intensified though as men all in black marched into the compound and rounded up the witnesses before dousing everything in fire. Her tutor, took charge of her capture himself and dragged her to facility 3. Abilities: Psionics Her eyes and her voice are her weapons, though one could hardly call them 'weapons' in the traditional sense. With a glance of her mirror like gaze held even for a small handful of seconds she can glean from a target their surface thoughts, their biggest fear (at that time) and their greatest hope. Their dreams and their nightmares if you will. Then, with her voice she can amplify these fears and give them form, albeit briefly in the minds eye of the target. While no physical/real harm comes to the target the perceived harm in this induced dream like state can have adverse and sometimes lethal effects on the one experiencing them.*1 Likewise she can amplify their hopes and dreams giving them a sense of bliss and happiness that fades without her to stablise it and oft leaves a target reeling with the reality of the real world.*2 Skills: She can play the piano rather well and has a keen sense of hearing due to her blindness. She is pretty mean with a stick (cane) and can tell with some degree of accuracy how truthful/honest people are being as well as their emotions by their tone and their hands. Being small she can get into small spaces and is remarkably dexterous for a person who isn't built for sports. Weaknesses: Is Blind and there fore reliant, to an extent, on someone helping her. While not physically mute the trauma she's been through has rendered her psychologically mute for the time being. Due to her -need- to depend on people at least a small part of the time she can be too quick to trust someone especially if they sound genuine/sincere. Note: Her true ability has been seen only that once at the party. She can, or potentially could, manifest a person's nightmare into reality, forming it from shadows and ash and controlling it to act according to her 'wishes' as long as they don't over ride the basic premise of the fear/nightmare. These 'creatures' being made only of ash and shadows aren't easy to stop but do little physical damage on a one on one basis but can be a problem in a group they are as dangerous as the fear they are conjured from however which can either make them very dangerous or utterly ineffective; in the case of those with fears of butterflies and the like. With training she might be able to use this again one day but that day is far off and the time she did use it was put down to the accident before the event. *1 For example if one were terrified of burning in a fire they would see the room surrounded in fire and their own clothes on fire, they would choke on the flames and feel the heat and potentially even 'suffocate' or 'burn to death'. However in reality there are no flames nor any fire. Anyone who tried to convince the target of such would be met with stiff refusal as the scenario's she 'dreams' up are intensely real, to the point one can even convince their own flesh its burned. The effect though only lasts for as long as the target is conscious, so knocking the target out or the target falling unconscious before 'dying' from their fear will leave them disorientated but free from her power. Likewise knocking her out will immediately cancel out such effects. *2 A mans fondest hope is to have children with his wife, who, for some reason, can not conceive. He then gets a phone call telling him the impossible has happened and he ought to rush home now! He does so and finds his wife with a pregnancy test in one hand shouting 'its positive'. They rejoice, he celebrates, the baby is born and he holds its, he feels pure bliss. Though in the real world only a minute has passed and he has not left the room let alone got such a phone call. When the 'connection' to this world is broken (via either of the prior methods) it isn't unusual for the target to feel a severe and crushing depression.
