As I cant change my text currently I think it be best if I explained what happened to the shiira pillar here

the ships have a secret super weapon powered by an pretty unstable crystal.
normally with tge rightly trained people these crystals can be controlled or at least their energy suppressed until redirected.
but when the ship got hit in the attack the crystal was likely damaged and as a result exploded

when it explodes it sends out a strange radiation that crystalize everything in the area. Even flesh becomes purely crystal
this also effects dark matter and space dust. So around the center of the explosion a large. Orb like sphere was made. With openings to get inside as their would be a lot of void sppts as well
it would be the size of a very small moon.

We all should have seen how ice can have open spots if frozen in a orb or after melting a little. Picture that much

for imp most likely or others that look outside
I was a big short on time and put it ooc. Stupid of me but I did not had the time to think more aboit it

the orb is likely in orbit as it was close enough to the planet to be seen but if any closer would start to plummet to the planet. Acting like a dinosaur killing metior
so yeah close by to be seen from the planet. Yet far enough that gravity cant pull it down
I guessed that would be close enough to force it in orbit
