"You didn't miss anything, the counselors stopped the event before Ivy and I got a chance to compete. Where did you disappear to? I looked for you after your round but could find you. You did pretty well." Kyle told him. He smiled indulgently at the smaller boy.

"Kye and I live on the streets." Ivy told him. "He says it's safer until I get complete control of my power. I burnt down a building when I was really little. I keep telling him I can handle it now but he worries it will happen again."
