Eclipse sighed as the creature and the girl ran to him for refuge. He pat a hand reassuringly over Lina's head. "I'm sorry I left you alone. I won't do that again." He picked up the girl and took the creature under his other arm. "Hold onto me, and I'll carry you. It will be faster this way, and you won't risk falling in this muck." Strygwyr scoffed and muttered to himself as he crouched slightly, preparing to move. "Only the brave are fit to worship the Twins." "Your Twins require a lot my friend, but that is a discussion for another time. Follow me." Eclipse secured his charges and took off, staying low and stopping frequently so Strygwyr wouldn't lose him. Eventually, the ground became firmer and it was ok to walk. They were in a long clearing, surrounded by forest. It even looked like a path had been made through the trees. "I see a light up ahead. We need to find some shelter, or some civilization if this world has any. Perhaps one of us should go ahead and check it out." He deliberately looked to the only other adult in the group. Without a word, the bloodpriest nodded and jogged ahead. He too was getting hungry.
