New Condia "All vessels retreat, pattern Echo 001-C!" The Terran fleet immediately began to fire engines, turning around and negating their velocity. The reason was obvious; if they were planning to jump away, then their velocity would have to be changed depending on their target location. If the enemy knew the gravity of Earth, then they would wuickly be able to pick up on the fact that that's where they were heading. The warp rings began to distort light around them as the fleet prepared to warp out. With a flash of light, the Terrans were gone. The telltale gravity lens effects moving away from the system at FTL speeds made that much clear. However, a message came from the retreating ships, most likely a vain attempt to dissuade the enemy from following to their homeworld. "You will soon meet your fate." Just after the message was recieved, a barrage of argon plasma smashed into the aft sections of every ship in the combined enemy fleet. Missiles tore into engine pods, an attempt to prevent the enemy from turning to face them. Fighters and bombers savagely tore at the hulls of the enemy vessels, their pilots seemingly having no fear of death. A message was sent to the allied forces using the FTL comms system onboard the Normandy, it seemed that they didn't want to give the enemy a way of intercepting it. "We'll distract the enemy fleet, just save the planet!" ((Sorry for the tiny post, I'm doing other stuff right now. I had an odd day, which involved me being put in control of the Game Design Club despite not actually have any knowledge of how to code.))
