Gia allowed the stranger to pick her up. He had blonde hair in a braid and eyes that she couldn't decide if they were blue or violet. She sniffed him tentatively and for the first time in three days felt a sense of safety. He was the Alpha. And he hadn't killed her. Yet. After he sat her on the bar and she had a glass of water in her hands, which she downed most of in about two seconds, she looked at him with huge puppy eyes. Her mother had once told her that sometimes Alphas would kill members of other packs who trespassed on their territory. She gulped in worry. "I didn't mean to trespass," she assured him quickly. "I was so scared. I didn't know what to do. I just ran... and ran... then I smelled an Alpha and..." she looked down, blushing a bit. "I thought maybe... you would help me..." She looked back up at him with wide sad eyes. "I'm the only one left. The monsters... they killed everyone... My pack is gone," tears bubbled in her eyes once again. "What do I do?" she asked. If she had been in wolf form she would have been on the ground with her ears back and whimpering, rolling over to show her belly and neck in submission.
