It looks like they're the same price, except the 2DS can't fold, can't do 3D, and has worse sound quality. The battery life being arguable at best.

I am a huge Nintendo fan and everything but let's not joke here, the 2DS is functionally just a downgrade being sold to see if they can get away with it.
