Klaus blinked at the sudden outburst, his eyes following the glass as it hit the ground and broke. [i]Oh, Mira won't like that,[/i] he thought, a smile tugging at his lips. Then he put his feet back up on the table, leaning back in his chair. "I lost no one when I turned," he admitted, though it could be argued that wasn't entirely true. "Mira, however, lost her children. And yet she still embraced this life. One of the reasons I decided to turn her--she loves to live life even if she's dead." He wrinkled his nose and picked the book back up again to flip through it. "As for men, I find humans are far better companions than vampires. You only need to learn to control that bloodlust, love. And I assume the others won't be back for a while--the night is still young."
