Agreed, I think using Hope Peak's would be better and easier for everyone to memorize. It still offers a lot of places where murders could take place, but weren't used as such in the game (the pool, the sauna, etc.) Meanwhile, posting a WIP of my second character. He didn't become that bubbly in the end, but he is shy. That's something, yeah?
Name: Dieter Brauer Super High School Level Talent: Torture Specialist Appearance: Small, slender, seemingly frail and often found sitting in the corner by himself, most likely painting flowers and butterflies, many often think they misheard his title when first laying their eyes on him. He looks a lot younger than he is as well, partly because of his larger than usual eyes, somewhat round cheeks and small, a bit feminine frame. He has sleek, blond hair, bangs parted neatly to the left and often covered by a hat of some sort - most often a beanbag one with lots of pins and decorations. His eyes are dark blue and seem to carry the look of a deer caught in headlights more often than not, especially when surrounded by people. Despite what it looks like, Dieter actually does have enough physical power to carry around a bit heavier equipment and the like. He's probably still the weakest guy in any given group, but not completely useless. He gets bruised easily, though, so after his "shows of power" he's most likely going to have sore arms for a while. Still, he's very quick on his legs, so he does have that going on for him. Clothing-wise, Dieter likes big, bright hoodies with sleeves longer than his hands, ideally equipped with a lot of hidden pockets for him to store stuff in. He doesn't really care what he wears on his feet, just a pair of random jeans and sneakers does fine in most situations. He also carries around multiple pairs of different gloves, often strapped to his hoodie somehow. Personality: Usually quiet and seemingly timid, he's the guy to just quietly follow along with others' opinions and plans, rarely voicing his own wishes out of fear that people might yell or laugh at him. He doesn't handle criticism or teasing that well, after all. Indeed, not only does he not look the part of a professional torturer, he doesn't act like it, either. He likes people, but finds talking to them difficult, and as such he never initiates a conversation, just hopes that at some point, people would notice and come say hi to him as well. He gets really excited when talked to and is very often all-smiles when interacting with others, even if he is shaking constantly and messing up with his words out of nervousness. He looks the type to shatter if you touch him or scare him, and surely enough, unprovoked physical contact will most likely send the guy into a fit of panic - which may or may not end in him running into things and injuring himself. Dieter can be naive as well, not understanding sarcasm or innuendo that well and often opting to just laugh nervously when faced with topics he knows nothing about. Needless to say, this has led to a lot of bullying in the past. Strangely enough, bullies usually aren't on his back for more than a few days, however... Still, there are things that clearly point to Dieter being more than just a meek kid out to hide from the entire world; if you engage him in conversation and give him free reign, you might end up hearing the strangest things come out of this kid's mouth. He has no problem talking about explicit torture or death, and he never blinks an eye doing it. He's also knowledgeable; ask him how many ways he knows to kill a man, and he will ask how many days you have to listen - and if, as a bonus, you would also like to hear as many ways to leave a man alive but wishing they were dead. Blood and injuries do nothing to faze him, and he will not understand if you back away from a particularly gaping wound someone got or shudder at the sight of a corpse. In fact, he will think of you as mean and rude to treat a fellow human that way. Yes, his demeanor changes remarkably when he's talking about his work or things relating to it, and gone is the shyness in an instant - only to return after he's done, most likely accompanied with confusion if you look at him funny. Dieter also absolutely adores cute things, and once again, if presented with something cute enough, he will forget his shyness for a minute and run up to hug and squee the cute object or animal in question. He's very artistic as well, and loves to paint - often happy pictures with lots of pastel colors. He doesn't really like to share his works with others though. On an unrelated note, Dieter also cries somewhat easily. He's... a bit too sentimental for his own good sometimes, which an prove annoying to the people around him. He's aware of this and often tries to control his sobbing fits, reducing them to just silent tears and quiet mumblings. Lastly, Dieter absolutely doesn't like people assuming that just because he happens to specialize in torture, that he would be a particularly cruel or sadistic person, or engage in violent acts on his free time (thankfully, due to his appearances, such assumptions aren't all that common.) He likes helping people whenever he can and is generally friendly, he just happens to have a gruesome job. But in the end it's just work for him and he holds the same passion towards it as people would over sports or medicine, but it doesn't mean he's out to get everyone for his own enjoyment. Maybe. Biography (before coming to Orion Academy): He was born to a pair of medical practitioners, namely a surgeon and a forensic pathologist and as such from a very young age, he was exposed to the field of medicine. His parents would leave their research books and findings on the kitchen table or forget to turn off their computer when taking a bathroom break, and young Dieter often sneaked to take peeks at their study material - which sometimes included corpses. His parents knew nothing of this, however, they did know how hard a doctor's life can be both physically and especially mentally, so they didn't want Dieter to take after them. So, whenever he expressed interest in their job, they told him no. They had noticed the boy liked to draw, and thus encouraged him to focus on that. Kids should play, not hurt their head with difficult and often gruesome research material. Unfortunately, what his parents didn't realize that forbidding a kid something makes it that much more interesting to them. As such, Dieter would make it a habit to sneak into the family's library every night to read and - even before he could read - look at pictures. It was all very fascinating to him, even more so because he couldn't understand any of it. Not without testing it out. So, he set up his own "doctor's clinic" for his friends to try and test some of the things he'd learnt on them. Nothing too serious or life-threatening, of course. Just simple kids' fun - well, most of the time. That's where his career began. Career that, through relatives, connections, years of practice and a series of certain events, led to him working for the government as an interrogator or, as he's come to be known as, torture specialist. The decision to come attend Orion's academy was made solely by Dieter himself, as he rather missed school, having had to drop out some years prior due to his career choice.
