Hi VirtualVulcan! You don't need a character sheet unless you want one. Maybe your character had been offered the job by Straw, declined, but then thought better of it and has been trying to catch up to the group? 

Alternately, you are more than welcome to have the yet-to-be-named man that is face down on the road. He doesn't have to be dead and could simply have been knocked unconscious and picks an appropriately dramatic time to wake up. :brow
