Well it's possible she's alive somewhere but I was thinking I'd go the route of someone in the Tribe sabotaged Alex's trip, (put a hallucinogen in her waterskin or something) getting her killed and then there might be some sort of revenge subplot. Something along those lines if its alright.
Yes, that's absolutely fine. Your subplot will be written into one of the towns.
So in this version of Hyrule Termina is a real place? I'd always just thought that the adventures of Majora's Mask were a hallucination that Link's unconscious brain came up with shortly after being robbed by a Skull Kid wearing a strange mask while he was in the process of turning into the Hero's Shade, a stalfoes.
Termina is, in my mind, a real place. The Hero of Time's interactions with the people there were however, not. They were all dead. All of them. My justification for this statement is that eventually you can get a power mask from just about every person and group of people. Something Link can only get from the dead. Also, the different stages of Link's journey into death directly coincide with the stages of greiving. The townspeople are in denial that the moon is going to collapse on them. The Deku king is enraged with his loss and his rage is misplaced. The Yeti Bargains for his wife's health. The Zora think nothing can be done about the situation and want to give up. And finally, Skull kid must accept his loss, and what he's done in his greif in order to move one. The cycle fits. Link was dying and turning to Stalfos, and what's more this also explains that many of the people Link knew in Hyrule had died. And, because Majora's and Ocarins happen on two branches of a timeline, but converge and meet eachother in Twilight Princess, It proves that the timeline can have convergance points. But back to Majora's... this is why he can never change what they do from cycle to cycle. And the Hero's Shade was the result. Thats the explanation i'm using for this RP.
