Well, you see, it takes about 3 seconds to get anywhere in galaxy, because #NoOneWantsRealI try suggesting actual limits on travel and such, and everyone hated it because then they can't go anywhere at anytime.
This RP was never realistic (or consistent) from the beginning. Arbitrary limitations on FTL isn't going to make the RP any less inconsistent. The reason why I opposed your suggestion on FTL is because it horrendously gimped my faction's approach to space warfare. I'm not interested in reverting to romanticized 18th century maritime tactics in space. I can deprive pleasure from viewing this sort of material on a HDTV screen (nBSG fan reporting in) and on the pages of a Warhammer 40k novel (boarding actions in black library books can get relatively intense depending on what author you've treated yourself to), but I absolutely loath writing it.
Wilson's Rant
If some of you focused on something other than unnecessary dick-waving (Duck and Wilson exclusively), creating nations with the sole purpose of antagonizing other players (Wilson and his Draconians), initiating deus ex machina when things are getting heated (Duck and Wilson), and spawning asteroids out of nowhere to cause unparalleled destruction on a planetary scale due to obscured reasons (Darkwolf and his asteroid), this roleplay would be going smoother than it is now. We won't get into the absurd capabilities of the Sentience Disruptor (a magical weapon powered by pure bullshitium; Wilson has also confused sentience with sapience judging by his past OOC description of the weapon's effects on targeted specimens), magic (Duck's go-to Phlebotinum) and Darkwolf's mega parasites that can burrow through body armor and somehow infect computer mainframes. Suffice to say Wilson, you're part of the problem. But it's mostly you and Duck. Everyone else isn't retarded. It's just you. I'd honestly wish Keyguy would boot you and your two powerplaying comrades out of the RP. You're ruining my fun.
