Viral was strong, there was no refuting that. He just wasn't at the King's level yet though, none of them were. That was going to take time to reach, and even so their best chances were still fighting together. In addition to that Viral was going to need time just to regain his former strength, all the more reason for this to be a group battle. With her hand still on the Beastman's shoulder Yumi smiled sadly, giving him a small patting. "You'll get your chance, that's just not right now. For the time being you need to focus on getting better, that's more important. After that then you can go fight." It was unfair to think that Viral was the only person who wanted to fight the King, or wanted revenge. Near everyone on the ship had been harmed in some way by that man, directly or indirectly. Each person on board with perhaps the exception of T'charrl had a bone to pick with the Saiyans, all the more reason they should all fight. Watching as Viral turned away she glanced down at his paws, shifting uncomfortably at the blood on them. He was hurting himself... Again... This wasn't right. Hurrying after her friend she linked an arm around his waist, offering support without saying as much as she looked up at him somberly. "You won't lose your mind... I won't let you. I'm here, for whatever you need. If yelling helps, or fighting, or whatever you need, I'll help you. I can talk to you or try calming you, I'll do whatever it takes. Vegeta can handle the medicine side, I'll worry about keeping you calm and relaxed. Will you let me?" "I mean... We all think of you as our friend. Shu, myself, Vegeta and Yumi. I don't know about Viral, but I'd bet the twins and Kabocha do. Haku might, though it's hard to tell with that kid..." Takeshi mumbled, scratching at his head with a sigh, "But yeah, you've got plenty of friends on the ship. And I bet you'll make some of your own when we get back to Kaesstra. And who knows who you'll meet if you travel again, I bet you'll end up with all kinds of friends before long." Hopefully by then too they wouldn't all be people associated by war. There were a handful of people that they had met during their time with the rebels, some he wouldn't mind spending a bit more time with. There was this innate worry though that come the end of the fighting they may never see one another again. If that was the case then fine, not much they could do about it. But Takeshi really wasn't a fan of seeing anyone leave, not someone he considered a comrade and perhaps a friend too. T'charrl was having a field day with the Saiyan's hapless stammering, he couldn't figure out a way to properly say what he wanted to. Instead of being concise he was bumbling like an idiot, and a Kaesstrian of all people was being critical of his wording. "I don't know, maybe I do want him to see me as his rival! I mean, I should be good enough, you know? I'm stronger than he is right now, but when he's healthy I like to think we're equals. But he still doesn't think much of me..." It was frustrating, what did he have to do to get the Beastman's respect? Glancing up at T'charrl he stuck out his tongue childishly, not having much other way of offering rebuttal at this point. He really hoped this conversation never reached Viral's ears, he may just die of embarrassment. There was a surprisingly long bout of Silence from Shu, unusual for a normally talkative little guy. Sure as the sun was bound to rise though the younger boy soon found his voice again, and he quickly joined in on the proverbial dog-pile that was forming on Takeshi. "I am n-not jealous of him! Why would I be jealous of him?" Takeshi asked, his face reddening once more as he waved his hands dismissively, "I can fly and use Ki and all sorts of cool stuff! Sure, he's got his sword, and maybe he's stronger than me..." Plus he had this weird ability to just sort of make you feel more confident when he was around. He'd noticed that while with the Saiyans too, though he loathed to admit it. When you were beside someone with tons of combat experience it made things easier, and Viral definitely had that effect. Watching Shu prod at the pineapple, Takeshi chuckled amused before grabbing the fruit, turning it over in his hands carefully. "You've got to take the skin off first Shu, otherwise it really sucks trying to eat one of these things." With no knife handy he extended one finger, forming a slight casing of Ki around it before giving a quick swipe, cutting off a small part of the pineapple. Peeling away the skin and taking out the core he tossed them away as well, finding himself yet again covered in sticky fruit juice. Scowling slightly he offered over half of the ring to Shu and the other half for T'charrl to try. "How's about since I brought you fruit you two stop picking on me, hm?"
