Devika flinched and backed up, as she watched the pain she'd sent Mimic take hold. "Oh, no..." She didn't know it was going to hit him like that- he must have felt the pain, but that must have triggered something else. Obviously some kind of dark memory for him. "I- I'm so sorry..." She reached out, and much more gently placed her hand on Mimic's head. Then she inhaled slowly, seeming to inhale the sadness along with her breath. The emotion she could remove, but the memory she'd triggered wouldn't go anywhere, unfortunately. "I'm so sorry..." She held the emotion in her chest, and brought her walls back up, to store it safely. Tears started to silently roll down her face. --- Kijani raised her eyebrows at the display. That girl had effectively immobilized Mimic with one simple touch. What the heck kind of power was that? While, she was secretly pleased to see this particular teacher humbled, the level of grief he was displaying made her feel rather bad for him.
