Kaleeth's next action was something of a pitfall, and one that Janius was quick to exploit. As she reached across and tried to grab his weapon, Janius thrust the rim of his shield towards her face, stopping right before impact to spare her. "Halt here," Janius commanded sternly, before taking on a more patient tone, "The shield is a weapon too, be wary of lowering both sides of your guard." Janius lowered his shield and unhooked his axe from Kaleeth's shield. "This will be a good lesson to learn today, and something we can practice. First of all, what were you trying to do when I trapped your shield, and how do you think you should have acted differently?"

However affectionately Janius held Kaleeth in his mind, he knew that he had to remain strict in instructing her.
