Gyuki, The Hachibi, Midori's Tummy Monster. The beast had been more or less silent. He had noticed the emotions of Midori and managed to brace himself for the wave that was to come. Like an imaginary tidal wave, he braced himself for the anger, sorrow and depression that would hit him. Gritting his teeth, he felt bad for his host. No, for his best current friend and partner. Opening his eyes half open, he remembered how he had told her that he didn't like Deidara. Nothing had changed. He still thought of Midori's friend as a lousy good for nothing. Gyuki's nostrils widened, but not snort came. Laying on his stomach, his head resting on his arms, the beast managed to stay calm. While he had listened to Midori's outburst to the ANBU, he was on the edge. Not to make sure that if she would burst out of emotions that she would have enough supportive chakra to make it clear that she was upset. No, he would most likely attempt to stop her. Even if he had to take over her body with force. But with the passing days, he saw no need to step in to make sure that she wouldn't burst out. While he wasn't feeling comfortable, he was happy. Midori had managed to keep herself together and not withdrawn herself in silence. No matter how Gyuki was convinced that Midori had grown and progressed to not let that happen, there was always that little doubt that she would fall back in such a state. Suddenly Midori would hear a loud snort. Words wouldn't follow, but she would feel something. Slightly Gyuki would let some of his very own chakra enter her system. Nothing too special, but it was a simple gesture. He would watch her and be there, even if she would feel alone. Closing his eyes, the beast continued to his so far peaceful watch.
