Aye, I agree. Don't be "one of [i]those[/i] roleplayers," be someone who follows the rules, and sets some down for themselves and follow those too. Make stuff; if a sword is coming at you, fall to the ground, and thrust out your hand, and make a cloud of spices. Spices + nose + eyes = holycrapthisfuckinghurtsgetitout!
