Gavin\\ --------- "I've been better, but in about a day or so I should be able to at least move my arm." Gavin broke his attention from one to the next to answer the concern of the other girl. Shizuka and Lin if he wasn't mistaken, they were names fitting to ethnicity, his own name felt normal by comparison. "I'm Gavin, it's a pleasure." At that moment it would've been cordial to shake hands, with the apple in his working arm he couldn't. They talked about getting him some medical attention and he was perfectly ok with that. Gavin tried his best to keep direct eye contact, it was a chore he wasn't used to in large groups. His arm hung, and although it was a bother, he suppressed it greater than even he expected of himself. Perhaps it was the prism encouraging him to persevere and survive. He had to think about it, where he came from and what he was carrying trying to be considerate of the surrounding people. Darkness was always going to be a part of him, Gavin was not black of heart, but he contained a massive darkness, the coldest of it's kind. The youth had the mind to make it his own, his only fear was how other would receive him, especially with the extended reach influence from the Empire. Yet he just had this feeling, these people seemed like they've weathered their share of skirmishes, lost things precious, but maybe he'd see more from them if his decision is to remain. "I can only hope..." Gavin said almost inaudibly to himself, a bit of sadness had shown through. Tapping the middle of his sternum, he could feel the prism was still there, radiating, and keeping him from keeling over. A sigh soon faded, and he walked closely behind the group, he could really use a cast or sling for his arm.
