Hyrule Castle Town
Hyrule Castle town is a major center of wealth and commerce for thousands of miles around. Many people know of it's great opportunities and rumored safety. Right now, castle town is full to bursting with refugee's needing the sanctuary of its magic barriers. Many of it's inhabitants are ignorant of the darkness everywhere else, and life moves on where it has become a struggle elsewhere. That's not to say everyone is in castle town. Many think of the new events of the world as just 'hard times' and continue their lives rather passably in the rest of the world. But many, especially those who have experienced firsthand what is happening in the temples around the world, see Hyrule as their only hope of escaping destruction. Hyrule Castle is surrounded by a moat, with drawbridge's all around that only lower during the day. There is a bridge on the East, West, and South portions of the city. The Northen moat has no drawbridge, and leads to the Terminus fields and forests, which eventually turn into the Terminus sewers. Further information may be received upon further exploration. On all other sides of the moat, are the Hyrule fields, which lead to Death Mountain in the East, Zora River in the South East, Kokiri Forest in the South, Lake Hylia in the South West, Zora's Domain in the West, and Gerudo Valley in the North West. Further information about these locations may also be available upon exploration.
Upon reaching the Hyrule Castle Moat, you will find a lone Zora, swimming laps around the moat. And Welcome to my Happy Mask shop! I have travelled many places and times, and have found that the way people are happiest, is when they can be someone else! It's all so very vicarious! So I've set up these shops to spread happiness to everyone! But of course these masks aren't cheap! No... these are special masks... I have lots of them, but I only loan them... not sell them. You may have one mask at a time... But no more! And when you loan out a mask, I'm afraid you must keep it until the next day. I wouldn't want to cut your experiences short, after all! And be careful... sometimes even when you wish to be someone else... you may find that it is not in fact... what you wanted at all![/hider2] [hider2=Borrow a mask] You may borrow one mask per post, per day. At any rate, I've got milk, food, and supplies for a fair price...[/hider2] [hider2=Talk to a stranger at the bar] Hello there stranger! Have a sit, and I'll tell ye the tale of those legendary tokens, the angelic down.[/hider2] [hider2=Sit with stranger] He buys you a drink and begins spinning a tale... 'Twas a dark night, not long ago, when me an my crew came across the legendary angels. These creatures, so far as I know have been seen by none but my own crew an I. Now they weren't like traditional angels, as you'd think of em. Nay, these creatures were different, hiding their faces beneath long cloaks... and their feathers seemed thinned out and dropping around them as though they were molting. Their wings seemed to be incapable of making them fly, and yet it seems possible, probable, even, that it gave them some kinna hoverin' ability. They seemed to walk on the water... nay even, they seemed to glide, as though there were a surface above it, slick as the frost on deck after a cold december evenin'. Course since that day, we been cursed... we collected the angel down, an after that all me crew started disappearin' one by one, til the last three of us had the good sense to wait below decks for the wind t' take us ashore... course these feathers had magical properties yes? You threw them at yer feet an' it was like there were a floor there in front of you. Me though? I never managed to feel right about my share of them. Always felt that they were the epitome of everything my crew died fer. And it seemed to me that they died fer nuthin. A novelty at best. Some o' the weakest magic items ever, an in great abundance. I ended up sellin' my share of 'em to me crew mates for fifty rupees an' me ship fer a thousand, an I never sailed agin. I've lived quite comfortably off me draft income an the money from that ship... an now? Well I'm all right, but me two last crew mates, me first mate, he's an Ordon goatherd. I think he's out there sellin his spessally trained goats... far as I know, he never sold any of his down. Still keeps it in a barrel. An the other? well e's plumb outta the things! He created these boots with 'em right? Says he found this story of these ancient boots what gave him the ide'er. Course now he's sold all of 'em... they were a hot ticket item fer awhile, but I haven't see hide ner tail feather of one of 'em boots in years. People must've bought them thinkin' they were the coolest, hottest, coolest new thing, an then trashed 'em.... Well that's me tale mate... Hope yer doin' well and all?"[/hider2] [hider2=Sit down with random stranger at a table] Who the heck are you! Hey just because I'm here doesn't mean I have anything to say to you, or that anything I have to say is your business! Everyone new in this town seems to talk to EVERYONE at least once or twice, only to discover that most of us just say the same thing to EVERYONE! Like that old guy at the bar, no matter how many times you go and talk to him he tells you the same exact story word for word! *You both look at the smiling old sea-salt, he appears to be quite happy in his drunken state, a dribble of saliva creeping from the edge of his smile.* Well not me! I don't wanna be like the rest of these emptyheads! So everyone who tries to talk to me, I'm gonna push away![/hider2] [hider2=shop]Apple= 1 rp. each Bread= 3 rp. each Milk= 15 rp. each Rope= 20 rp. each Pickaxe= 30 rp. each Sleeping Potion= 30 rp. per fillup [/hider2]

[hider2=Talk to the fortune teller] Inside the small tent is what appears to be a fortune telling booth. No fortune teller... not a single person around... just... a booth... As you approach closer to the pedestaled glass box, torches on the ground around the tent erupt in a blue light... revealing... a mechanical cucco. The cucco's eyes turn red and it begins to speak... Welcome to Carmena the Cucco's Palace... I was created by Burana, the legendary fortune teller, and left here because we knew you would arrive. We also knew you'd be willing to part with a measly ten rupees for the trouble of placing this booth here just for you. Just feed them into the machine, and I will lay the egg that was predetermined for your arrival. If you are not willing to part with the rupee's then our prediction could not be true yet, and it is not time for us to tell your fortune... But beware! If it IS your time, and you refuse this fortune out of spite, you will forever be unaware of the secret you were destined to receive! Dare you tempt... fate? Then the cucco's eyes grow dim and it's robotic head points down as though sleeping.[/hider2] [hider2=Slip the fortune teller ten rupees]The machine whirrs and clanks loudly, rocking back and forth the cucco's eyes light up, its wings spread, and its head points toward the ceiling... Macs-a Ylsuoiv-bo si, Siht Nom'k! A mist swirls around the booth, dark and foreboding, and as the chant completes, she lets out a loud crow, and stands up. An egg pops out of the cucco and into a small hole in its synthetic nest. You hear it roll down through the mechanisms until finally, a slot pops open revealing your egg. Carry this egg, and in a few hours, (maybe even less, depending on your exposure to sunlight...) It will hatch! Revealing the harbinger of your fortune within! Do not try to break the fortune out... or it will perish undeveloped. The fortune must identify you, feel your warmth to determine who the fortune is for... that it is really you...[/hider2]

[hider2=The Castle Grounds] A worn cobble path leads up to a massive gate, with huge stone walls on either side. There is also a guard on duty through the gate. You can see the castle spires up over the sheer stone walls. Unless the gate is opened on the other side by the guard, you can't seem to go any further.] [/hider2] [hider2=Talk to the Guard] Ah! Bubby's with you! The Princess said to inform anyone who came along with Bubby to return tomorrow at noon. Here is a letter of board from the royal family. Just show this at any inn or tavern and they will provide you with a place to stay on the royal family's coin until your business with the royal family is completed. The princess would also like to give you this purple rupee (50) for spending money on your visit. Have a good day, and may the only darkness that follows you be your shadow. [/hider2] [hider2=Climb up the Vines on the walls] As you climb, you hear footsteps on the plateau of the stone in front of you. There appear to be guards up there to make sure no one does this very thing... maybe you should climb down now...[/hider2]

[hider2=Talk to the shopkeeper] Hello there! Whos-Happening-How-What!?!?!??" The woman jums up eyes wide, screamin' like a crazy woman. Then she sees you and the scream dies down slowly... "aaaa...aa..a...a customer!!!! Why HELLO DEAR!" She says, getting real uncomfortably close... "I am agatha the bug woman! I sell mechanical bugs! See all of these beautys around you? Mechanical! Every one! See when I was a little girl i noticed that they were different from the other bugs I collected... their movements were jerkier and less refined and natural then the real thing. So I bribed some ridiculously clothed boy to catch two of each of these special bugs! One male, and one female. Then I studied them closely until I discovered that they were little golden machines! i spent years working out how to build my own, and after decades of intense study, ta-da!" The woman pulls out a large golden bug the size of your palm with massive pincers... "My own golden bugs! And these are even controllable if you have the magical will to do it! Just wind it up and imagine it doing what you want it to! They're very receptive. You can use these for all kinds of functions! What do you say we negotiate a price? Hm? 200 rp.?"[/hider2]
