-Those infected first have the same recurring nightmares, once they wake up they never remember it. 
- Infected often sleepwalk and wake up in strange places. 
- hearing whispers from many voices one moment then silence. 
By this point, it's not too late to be cured magically.

-The victim starts to see oily shadows and becomes increasingly paranoid. 
-In the last phase the victims are under the influence of the corruption and could start working as something of a sleeper agent for the darkness. This could last for days, months or in rare cases years with none the wiser. 

-In order to reach the last phase, usually infected individuals wonder from settlements and enter into a kind of cocoon, starting a metamorphosis into a Darthlurki Kidnapped humans can be forced into pods to achieve this effect more quickly and efficiently. 

Those who react poorly to the infection will partly mutate with their veins bulging and turning ebony black like living tendrils digging into their skin. Such individuals are often hostile.
