Her entire form waited, tensed and ready to feel the monster’s attack bearing down on her much smaller frame, yet it never came. She did not dare to open her eyes and discover why though, instead keeping them screwed shut in fear. Evelin could hear an unfamiliar voice call out, the language not one she recognized, but they spoke with authority. Then, without any more of a warning, she made out the sound of blade meeting flesh. Her entire body curled tighter, flinching noticeably when she heard something heavy hit the ground. It was soon followed by several more sounds of scuffling, each followed by the thud of another form hitting the alley pavement. Then it all went silent. "There will be more. Can you stand?" A pair of sea-foam colored eyes blinked open as she looked up at the towering figure, the terrified and shocked orbs peering out from under a curtain of dirty blonde hair. Evelin was shocked, not sure it was possible for a lone man to take on the creatures who had suddenly disappeared. She opened her mouth to reply but her throat was dry and thus she merely nodded. A little unstable and shaky the woman hoisted herself back to her feet, putting a hand against the wall for some form of support. That’s when she realized his words, her entire body going rigid as cold fear swept over her. There were more of those…things? “Wait… what were those things, why are they after me…. And who are you?” she asked, finally regaining her ability to speak. If she hadn’t been in a state of shock she might have remembered to thank this stranger sooner, but in her panic she had forgotten. A sudden appolegetic look overtook her face as she realized how rude she had just been. “Sorry, I just bombarded you with questions. I really should be saying thank you, I don’t know what would have happened if you hadn’t been here.” She quickly adds.
