The twinkling lights around Ali's body suddenly surged brightly as a low voice in the darkness startled her. She slowly opened her eyes, one by one, and let her pupils adjust to the dim lighting of the bunker. Her heart leaped in her chest as Logan's calloused hand enveloped her small shoulder. His gruff whisper sent shivers down her spine, and Ali tensed her muscles tightly keep from shaking. She listened to his words, her earlier blush deepening, and turned her face sideways towards him. His face was above hers, as he had her slightly beat in height, so her nose barely brushed the sides of his pectoral muscles. Alison breathed normally, and Woverine's distinct scent drifted into her nostrils. The smells of leather, sweat, and clean metal mingled together into his own cologne of sorts. At first, she took offense to his statement, but quickly realized he was only commenting on the illusiveness of Kurt's Bamfs. Ali relaxed her shoulders as he removed his hand and began stalking forward into the light. The warmth of his touch lingered for a few moments, and Alison reveled in it happily. The man still greatly perplexed Alison. Was it possible his statements to the students were truly genuine? She secretly hoped so, at least for her sake, because more attention from the mysterious man would be gladly welcomed by the young girl. Alison took a few deep breaths and began to block out the sounds of New York city. The unnatural sparkle surrounding her body began to fade, but her glowing smile became visible as she wandered forward with Logan into the light. She wrapped her hands around her arms and rubbed vigorously to generate some heat in the rather cold bunker. She stood beside Wolverine, his broad muscular figure dwarfing her own, and stared forward to where Yukiko had wandered up the stairs. Her smile stayed put and her brilliant blue eyes drifted over to look at Logan. One eyebrow arched coyly as she spoke into the silence. "Don't worry, I'm not interested in perfection either. I prefer a little rough around my edges." Her bold, flirtatious tone hit the mark perfectly as she began to well back up with her usual spirits.
