Let's not get mixed up. You raided an Aperture R&D mining platform. That is certainly not Avalon for a few key reasons. Neither Constantine nor Alto could raid Avalon by themselves. It is the most defended place on the planet and has it's on Reactor that can instantly be made uncontrolled (by the president only with direct permission from congress) and blow Avalon off the face of the planet. It is guarded by elite special-forces armed with the latest anti-meta weaponry and even if you get through those guys, the Magi have been working together for years and are possibly the strongest team of Metas on the planet. No one is allowed in or out without direct approval from the committee overseeing it. It's surrounded by a proximity mine-field and auto-cannons in case any attackers have air-support. Basically, you ain't getting in there unless you have a master plan.
