New characters:
Name: Damian Le'Kruz Age: 29 Gender: Birthplace: Elon, Arcarus Current Home: Sovereign Personality: Damian hates to admit when he's wrong, and rarely accepts defeat. His pride overwhelms him in most scenarios, but when he's dead wrong, he'd rather just find other means to assert his superiority. While he does prefer to avoid unnecessary quarrels, he doesn't stop once he gets caught in one - not until he prevails or the opposition gives up. He has a stern demeanor and can easily come across as strict and well-disciplined. While his features give him a somewhat professional look, he acts much more deviously, often conning and deceiving people to get what he wants. Morally, he does not like to harm innocents without cause, but the introduction of a kage has slightly changed that. Bio: Damian was born in Elon: an urban city located near the border of Arcarus and Wintra. It's gloomy, rain-filled atmosphere set a dark tone for what was and is still known as one of the most crime-ridden cities in Leginia. Although the structure of the city is quite a sight to behold, its history is filled with corruption and criminal backgrounds. It was in Elon that the two biggest underworld organizations of Gaia formed. About two hundred years ago, Elon's politics were ridden with corruption and deceptive individuals who all struggled to gain the seat of Mayor of Elon. Since it was the primary trading hub between many of Wintra's southern most cities and other Arcarian cities, it held a lot of economic benefit for whoever ran its government. Politicians eventually turned to forcing votes, often hiring roughneck mercenaries to scare lower-class citizens into voting the way they wanted. It was during this time that the Zoolock Syndicate was born. Starting as a group of young men (and few women) who banded together against authorities and mercenaries, the Zoolock Syndicate quickly became known as protectors of the lower class, causing the politicans to think twice before meddling with the civillians. It was a pact among the cities laborers, which began as a union and quickly evolved into much more. As the Syndicate's name grew, despite its members' secrecy, it rose in infamy, as it turned from mere protection to the brink of anarchy. When mercenary's were unable to do the job, the city called for military back up, and the Zoolock Syndicate threatened to oppose any attempt to supress their insurrection. Then came the day known to many locals (and educated Arcarians) as Zoobreak, which is still celebrated as a holiday on October 15th of every year. On this day, a cold war between lined up masses of Zoolocks and Arcarian soldiers were mere moments away from charging at one another, when masses of civillians marched between the no-man's-land in between both opposing sides. The Zoolock Syndicate backed off and the military called off its attack. The civillians' protest gained such recognition that the Arcarian government overthrew Elon's political system, enforcing a democracy that runs to this day. However, over the years to come, the Zoolock Syndicate only degenerated into something much worse. About sixty years ago, the Zoolock Syndicate became known as the kings of the underworld, as they were the force behind the system. They ran unchecked by the government, free to oeprate as they please. While this originally allowed them to protect and check any possible authoritarian abuse, it turned into the Syndicate's power to do anything and everything without punishment. Members of the Syndicate fed off the fear that the government had of them and used it to gain their own power, often stealing, embezzling, and claiming money and property by forging and forcing deeds/checks to be written under their members' aliases. Things went even further as the Syndicate turned to smuggling illegal drugs to further their income, quickly rising to become one of the largest drug cartel's in all of Leginia. Eventually, however, disputes on the code of the Zoolock led to a great divide in the rising underworld faction. Thirty years from current time, the Syndicate split into two opposing gangs: the Blood Saints and the Roys. While the Blood Saints spread eastward (towards Gaia and Sovereign), quickly taking advantadge of mass media culture to further increase their influence, the Roys retained the Zoolock's secretive ways. The Blood Saints aimed to continue the drug trafficking while the Roys turned to a more bloody path, becoming a league of vicous anarchists that ruled the streets of Elon and neighboring cities. --- At age nineteen, Damian had been arrested for selling illegal contraband, namely Mesh: a fibrous sheet of rope-like paper that could be crushed and snorted. He served three years in prison, where he met with a man named Cole, who took him under his wing when he proved himself in a few prison brawls. Upon his release, Damian was instructed by Cole to find his brother, Tyke, living in an apartment in downtown Elon. It was here that he was formally introduced and offered induction into the Roys. After passing the six gates (trials made by the members as part of tradition to judge a young Roy's capability), he was officially inducted into the Roy, where he operated and continued his drug trafficking undetected. With the funds that the Roys provided, he was able to expand his trade to Sovereign, and his skill in the craft quickly earned him many favors among high ranking Roys. At age 26, he commit his first murder, taking the life of two Elon police officers. At age 28, he had officially become a duke of Roy, one of the highest ranks in the Roys. He was given charge of about a hundred men, and he ran multiple criminal operations out of Elon. It was on a business affair that he got caught in Sovereign when the Void Gate opened. His carriage crashed into incoming traffic on a skyway, and most of the men that accompanied him died as the carriage crashed to the ground hundreds feet below. He would have died as well, if it weren't for his kage bonding to his mangled body and stitching it right up. After awakening, he roamed by himself for a good time until he regoruped with a small band of Roys that took over the base of recently slain Blood Saints. When the wall came down, he led his Roys out of Sovereign on foot, having disguised himself as Gaian military. He now roams the woods Northeast of Sovereign. Appearance: The one in the middle He has a buzz cut with brown hair and a straight line scar running down the top left side of his head. He has a bit of a stubby beard as well, as he didn't care much for shaving his face while in Sovereign. Special Traits/Weapons: -Great strategist. He survived Sovereign mostly due to his tactical thinking, never biting more than he could chew. -Heavy handed, but slow movements. Theme Song: ----------------------- Kage Type:Onikage Kage Name: Trilique (trih-LEEK) Kage Primary Power: Trilique has the ability to extend her arms and morph them into muscular tendrils shaped like a triple helix. The tendrils are black in color, with a reddish aura emitting around it. They can be swung like weapons or attached to surfaces for multiple purposes, but the primary use for them is to establish a leech on someone's spirit. If the Tendril's latch on to an individual, they are hard to remove and they can be used to turn the target into a puppet. This does not work on Hosts who have a lot of spirit, unless they exhaust themselves. Kage Secondary Power: Damian can turn regular humans/host's whose spirit is nearly completely sapped into puppets. He simply roots his tendrils into the target, and they drive themselves completely into the being. Once this is done, the target becomes a puppet of Damian, as if Damian existed in two different life forms. He can have up to six puppets, but the cost of one puppet is being unable to use one of the tendrils in one arm (the triple helix really totals 3 separate tendrils per arm), so having one to three puppets means no tendrils in one arm and having four to six means no tendrils in either arm. If the puppet is killed, hit hard enough, or exposed to a spiritual attack, the tendrils are removed from the target and disintegrate, but Damian regains the ability to control new tendrils from his arm. Kage Personality/Description: Trilique is a dark individual. She doesn't thirst for power as much as other kages, but she does enjoy absorbing more spirit. Her primary intentions are simply amusement, as she loves toying with human beings. To her, everything is a game, and she considers Damian her champion who helps her enjoy the extra time she got in the human realm. While lacking the typically malicous persona that most onikages have, she does feel a hatred for kages that compeltely take control of their host and only kill for more spirit. While one would put noble intentions behind this hatred, it is born out of a sort of jealousy, as she does not feel it is her kind of thing to quest for more power, but if she could, she knows she would enjoy it. She does not feel any sympathy for humans, except for Damian, who she thinks is wise for submitting to her. She seems to be more open minded than other kages and is more forgiving than most onikages.
