Here is a MOCK list of what i feel is op and not so much. [hider=under powered] [b]Offensive[/b]: Any attack that would be insufficient against any opponent. You may have tossed in a move like this by mistake, or had to improvize. These should be amp'd up in some way so that you character can fight for the GOD they represent. Could include: Basic human strikes with no "Godly" force, throwing sand at herriman (really dral? XD), death hugs (unless ur the hulk or grimm reaper.) [b]Defensive[/b] If you can be easily killed in a single turn, reguardless of your best counters. Likely, you submitted a regular human, and are currently distracting Herriman's axe with your face. May include: No armour, No magical defense, Covered in mega weak points, weakness to breathing. [b]Equipment[/b] Gear that is too lightweight, to carry momentum. Armour that slows you down more than it protects you. Consumable equipment with negligible effect. "Hey it might be nearly useless, but in the hear of battle, 'NEARLY USELESS' still trumps 'Empty Handed' any day of the week." This includes sun block, knive sharpening utinsels, broken weapons, the batman mask before it was impact resistant... [b]Tactical[/b] When your character lacks the ability to be tactical or improvize. This might occur if you are too strict in your cs, or applie tactical options that dont apply to the scenario. Examples might be: Calling in an airdrop... From within a cave. "taking highground" on a level platform, using a robot with a broken block button or something of the sorts, self inflicted injuries (seriously unless you actually have something to gain, stay away from that. XD) [/hider] [hider=acceptable] [b]Offensive[/b] Capable of KO'ing a regular human easily, and competetive with more powerfull characters. Should have some sort of extra "Mmph" to it, wether it be magical or physical. Should be avoidable/ blockable, but not too easily. May require a tad bit more of your brain cells turning on. Includes: Magic enfused attacks unable to destroy the entire world. Phsyical strikes capable of penetrating some higher form of defence without being unavoidable. Summoning techniques (so long as your summon falls within the same boundaries here, with a tad bit more leneancy.) enhanced natural abilities. [b]Defensive[/b] Some sorts of inclined defensive ability, capable of withstanding a beyond average hit, or menuevering you out of the line of fire for an attack within your characters speed range. Shouldnt make you entirely invulnerable, but it should make your opponent think about how to attack you. Examples:Hardened skin (seems popular. I wont say an exact limit since we are still trying to get all our stuff figured out anywho.) armour above standard iron level, magical shields (with limits such as directional, or how much they actually protect). [b]Equipment[/b] If your equipment can do its job against a god's champion then likely you are good. Loght sabers, or other enhanced swords are fine since melee weaponry obviously carries limitations. Other examples might include: Rail Gun power level ranged equipment, Specialized tools such as tazers (just make sure u keep pepper spray and a rape whistle on hand in case that fails.) a good sense of humor, optical enhancing devices [b]Tactical[/b] Strategy that isnt good in every situation, but can be combined with tools and other abilities for match turning effects. Charging energy, CQ combat skill, knowledge of anatomy, taking cover, specialized scences (spellcheck), teleportation(iffy. There are limits on it such as how fast you can teleport, need to charge, how your react to our workd upon return, etc. maybe its best to steer clear of this al together.) more tazers, manipulating the enviornment, countering or dodging moves, setups, EMP's etc. [/hider] [hider=OP'd As Fuq nerf Ur gosh dErn ChaRacteR! An i lived happily ever after." Or once you have passed a point(s) where your attack(s) are unavoidable, unblockable, can kill anything in a singular blow reguardless of its defences, or when people watching their tv's back home... NO NO NO better yet, when the real world is in danger of kersploding after your attack. Lastly, if you can spawn a Nuclear warhead up someones arse (i cant believe that was a conscern xD) [b]Defensive[/b] If you cant be hurt AT ALL by anything, your a lil bs. Some invulnerabilities are tollerable, but when you have soo many that attacking you is futile, you have crossed a line. May include: "I didnt die because i said so," overly perfect armour that cannot be destroyed, somehow reflecting every attack, when you dodge so much that i feel like im olaying dark souls 2 and not fighting you. [b]Equipment[/b] God armour, or weaponry. Im not saying Gods armour like it was a gift from your god. Im saying, when your weapons are unstopabble, your armour impenetrable, and you condoms are unbreakable. I mean if you cross this line, we might as well just stuff some rubbers full of marshmallows and attack your armour with that. Some other examples might be tooks that negate your foes abilities completely. This is more of a magical "haha!" Than an emp. [b]Tactical[/b]Teleporting is back here as well. Since it is op sometimes. Magical abilities with no drawbacks is a lil sketchy and belongs on the op section. Mind reading, seeing the future, time travel... All that is a lik fked up dude, dont try it (not that i dont think its fun to try and fight, but more so that it requires ALOT of post editing and more often than ny ends in a loops or unfair kills.) Crying to the gm to save you, having your god step in to save you, interferring with a match (seriously its bad enough fighting one cocky champion at a time.) and umm oh yeah! Meta. If your character has access to knowledge they shouldnt, thats just unfair. Cruel and unusual punishment, or random acts of kinkyness do not qualify as OP. They are entertaining, and i much welcome them. [/hider] I know this is a terrible list, but its a start. We can edit as a group until we are satisfied, or until light returns to laugh at my efforts for order. You see, this was my idea (check the interest checks if u dont believe me.) but im a terrible GM, because i never put boundaries on others. So light stepped up to plate, and did work, resultin in Dag kicking my azz, and then dral fighting him for about a week.
