Shiro jumped with a start whenever Abel sat up in his bed. He was certain that his teammate was dead asleep and wouldn't be bothered by his tinkering. He felt a little apologetic that the noise he generated woke him up. "G'night," Abel said shortly after. Falling backwards to return to his slumber. Well, that didn't last long. Ah, well. At least he had the ability to quickly fall back asleep. Shiro didn't feel as bad for having woken him. However, after a few minutes there was a knock on the door and Abel stirred again. Damn it. Shiro's ears drooped. He felt bad. Looking towards the door, a package was pushed into the room and the door was quickly shut after opening. Blinking, he watched as a bleary-eyed Abel got up and opened the package to pull out what looked like a white cellular device. "Dog tags? Real encouraling. 'Couraging. Whatever. 'S cool. I guess." Abel slurred. He must've been absolutely exhausted. Shiro felt even worse. Pushing his remorse aside, he grew curious. He set his weapon and tools down and made his way over to the box as Abel passed him and gave him a friendly pat on the shoulder. Looking back at him, he saw Abel return to his bed and collapsed again. Padding over to the box, he pulled out his own device and turned it over in his hands. After a brief examination, he read the message that was left in the box. Reading quietly to himself. "Congratulations on making it into Beacon! These devices are called 'Scrolls', and will be essential to your work as a Hunter. Having this is mandatory, and the loss or damage of one must be reported immediately; These serve as your Identification, License, Communication method, Messaging device, and, in the worst case scenario, your Dog Tags. Having these will enable you to access the various technology based facilities at our academy, with some restrictions of course. These will even be able to monitor your Aura level, as well as the levels and physical conditions of your teammates. To use these, simply pull the two plastic ends apart gently to reveal the screen. Upon system Startup, you will be provided with further instructions. Sincerely, The Package Man." Shiro snickered at the odd delivery man's title. 'Package'. He halted his snickering and covered his mouth, looking back to the sleeping Abel. Right, quiet. Looking at the scroll, he opened it and powered it on. Reading the message left on it to himself. "All teams are required to take classes together in order to ensure that students have peers that they can always depend upon for review and study. Teams are required to take two Educational Courses (ie, Mathematics, Language, Computer Science, and Music) and two Hunter Courses (ie, Survival, Physical Training, Weapon Care and Testing, Grimmology, and Welding). We recommend that the team leader, or a general group consensus decide what courses will be selected." Just two for each Course? That would prove difficult for Shiro to decide on. A lot of the courses he knew he needed to take. A few others seemed interesting to him. Whatever, he would decide later. He quickly entered his personal information and shut the scroll, powering it off. For now, he wanted to quickly finish his weapon alterations and put everything away so as to not disturb Abel further. Pocketing the scroll, he padded over to his disassembled weapon. Snatching up what he needed, he quickly put it back together after a complete conversion of its internal firing mechanisms. He decided that a shotgun modification would serve to be more prudent than a grenade launcher. He was more used to the shotgun form anyways, it proved to be far more reliable. After a quick functions check, he reloaded the hidden internal magazine with fresh dust ammunition. As swiftly as he could, he then slung his reassembled weapon on his back and put away his things. As he finished, Gren had walked into the room. "Hello everyone. I'm back." Smiling, Shiro was about to return his greeting as the door slowly opened. His expression froze. Gren brought a guest. A scent wafted through the air and immediately activated something in his blood. His eyes began to glow a bright blue, black stripes appearing on his ears and tail. A low growl rumbling in his chest and throat.
