Where the hell were you! I had to kill a goblin with a freakin rock! A ROCK" Name: Katherine Barkstone Username: Ava Age: 18 Race: Half Alv Class and Level: Assassin Lv90 Subclass and Level: Animal Trainer Lv90 Guild: None at the moment. Her old group of friends weren't online when it all started. Background: Katherine has been a military brat since she was very young. She was constantly on the move, changing schools and what not, making it hard for her to keep or grow close to friends. Instead of making her feel isolated and alone, it actually made her more open and friendly, as in her mind, there was never a lot of time to spare to make new friends. Despite this, it was still difficult for her to say goodbye so many times. Especially when her parents, who were both part of the United States Air Force, were stationed in Germany. Not being very good with the local language and dealing with a different culture made it that much harder to really find any good friends. However, she found a solution through online gaming since it never really mattered where she went, she could always play with her online friends. Katherine started to become closer and closer to her friends online and soon it was a big part of her life. Before she knew it, she was playing Elder Tales nearly every weekend, leveling up her character, participating in big raids, and meeting all sorts of new people threw this new medium of entertainment. To her, she never really noticed her growing notoriety in the game since it was to her, nothing but simple, carefree fun. She gained some major recognition when she participated in an Animal Tamer only one time event "Gods of the Skies". It was this event, where both her skill and ability to work with people pulled through. It was a raid/quest on the mountain just near the great eastern desert. It was there a dragon riding dark mage supposedly threaten all the eastern lands with his ability to take over the minds of dragons. The two parties that were mustered in the one time event fought the boss for hours, until finally, Katherine let loose her last arrow, killing the mage and winning the event. She and those who earned it one the ability to tame Tarragons. Thus it was no surprised only a lucky few, including her, get to ride around Elder Tale on such a unique mount. Though Katherine, as she is, will be the one to complain about how dumb or silly their faces look, seemingly completely oblivious to how monumental her achievement was. "What? I'm called "Ava, the Dragon Tamer?" Really? Who the hell thinks these silly little lizards with wings are dragons? Oh that is just hilarious!" Despite her.... I guess "humble" stance on her mount, she still likes to think of it as her virtual pet. Stats HP: 4 MP: 5 STR: 4 DEX: 5 Physical DEF: 3 Magic DEF: 3 INT: 4 WIL: 5 AGI: 5 Spell/Skill List: Passive: -Camouflage- Makes the user invisible and is a required before using the skill "Ambush". Only those with high perception classes can detect the user. The length of the spell is dependent on movement of the user, as in if the user is running, it may only last for a couple of seconds, but if the user is completely still, it can easily last ten minutes or more. It immediately stops if the user attacks a foe. Cool down time of 15 seconds. -Steadying- This spell when cast increases the accuracy of the user, giving even more of a boost if the user is stationary. Active: -Ambush!- When cloaked, the user may preform this skill. Upon the first hit, damage is doubled as well a negative effect on the opponent's defense for at least 12 seconds. Cool down time of 30 seconds. -Fire and Maneuver- At the cost of some accuracy, the rate of fire increases as well as increasing the agility of the user for 20 seconds. Has a cool down time of 15 seconds -Overdraw- The user will deliver a more powerful blow at the cost of firing rate and speed. The longer the user charges, the higher the damage multiplier. Has a 40 second cool down. -Armor Piercing- Lasts for 10 seconds, lowers the damage of the user's attack, but ignores the defense the opponent's armor gives them. 15 second cool down. -Creeper Barrage- The user's arrow will split into three different arrows on different trajectories towards the same target at the cost of some damage. 15 second cool down -Triple Shot- Unlike Creeper Barrage, the user will fire three arrows at once without any cost of damage. However, accuracy diminishes somewhat. 20 second cool down -Sniper- A damage bonus is given to projectiles that hit vital areas of the target. Each time a vital area is struck such as the head or heart during the 20 second duration, the damage is increased. Cool down time of 30 seconds -Eye for an Eye- When the user takes damage and cast this spell, the user gains a damage boost in proportion to the damage received for 15 seconds. Cool down time of 20 seconds. -Marked Target- When a fellow party member takes large amounts of damage, the user will gain an accuracy and damage boost against the enemy that caused the damage. Lasts for 15 seconds when cast and has a cool down time of 20 seconds. Subclass Skill: -Pacifism- Aggressive enemies 40 levels under the Animal Trainer will not attack them unless provoked. Every member in party increases this level requirement by +8 levels, so a party of 6 will mean that you need to be 80 levels above the enemy for it to be non-aggressive. -Animal Companion- An Animal Trainer is allowed to keep one pet at all times. This pet, even when killed during combat, respawns once you arrive at a Cathedral. In Katherine's case, it her Tarragon "Ozy" she tamed after learning a special skill during an Event quest that allowed her to become companions with them (see second image for Ozy). Tarragons are more literal flying lizards than dragons. They are much less intelligent and not nearly as strong or large. About the size of a very large dog or small horse, this flying mount can still do some damage with its razor sharp claws and teeth. It also is much more nimble on the ground than its dragon cousins. -Tame- An Animal Trainer, provided they have a type of Animal Feed, can temporarily/permanently tame an animal. If the Animal is not an Animal Companion (Pet), if they die, they die permanently. -Tarragon Taming- A special skill given during the "Gods of the Skies" event. Allows her to train Tarragons Equipment: Armor Set: Dark Moth "Go, swiftly into the night. Make not a sound for the predators lurk in the darkness" A hooded cloak set for high level archer focused players. Various components have hardened/enchanted leather. It gives a stealth and accuracy boost the owner and is distinguished by its unique moth like head decorations. Tarra Bow Made from the wood of a Tarra Tree, a thin, flexible tree that only grows at very high altitudes in the northern mountain range of the Vorkay Dukedom, the string is the spun metal wire of Zagnite. The legends say only four of these great bows were ever crafted, by the great forester, Volster Heinkel. However, Katherine will be the first to tell you its just a decent bow she got as loot from a party raid in the mountains when she was level 85. She liked the look of it and has kept it ever since. It has a small enchantment that arrows fired from this bow will slightly decrease an enemy's agility. It also gives a bonus to the "Overdraw" skill. Zagnite Dirk A short, level appropriate back up weapon when things get up close and personal. No special stats or effects. Barbed Zagnite Arrows The type of arrow she uses. It delivers decent damage for her level and gives the "bleeding" effect to an enemy, continually damaging the foe for a short period of time.
