When they go off to be married, the king rides with Tatterhood's sister, and the king's brother rides next to Tatterhood, who insists on riding the goat. On the way there, she convinces the prince to ask about the cloak, the goat, and the spoon each in turn, and they transform into a beautiful gown, a fine horse, and a silver wand. When the prince finally asks about why her face is a mess, she cleans it up and reveals that she's actually really pretty underneath it all. So, the prince realizes that he shouldn't judge people on first appearances, and everyone lives happily after. The end.
