Although not a fan of magical girl anime, I decided to watch "Gonna be the Twin-Tail!!". It gave me an idea for a 1x1 with a possible romantic angle:

Our characters have been friends since childhood. However, despite being as close as they are, they've kept secrets from each other. She is a sort of [url=http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MagicalGirlWarrior]Magical Girl Warrior[/url], while he is a darker, less forgiving vigilante character along the lines of [url=http://www.halopedia.org/Emile-A239]Emile[/url] from Halo or [url=http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Simon_%22Ghost%22_Riley]Ghost[/url] from Call of Duty. When their enemies form an alliance, they discover each other's secret.

In this case, I'd prefer to be the male character.
