Nouvelle “ Great, more people outside” Ura said as he heard the Terran yell over the microphone “ How did we mess this up Kacha?”. Kacha sighed and shrugged, keeping his rifle leveled towards the door “ I don’t know, a whole multitude of things. I don’t even know how anyone knows were down here. Something must of happened in orbit” he said pointing a finger upwards. The thought of all of their friends up in the Syren getting killed instantly killed the mood. The sound of a idling motor and a the crunch of gravel under boots quickly brought them back to reality, as a figure appeared in the doorway. Training took over and within an instant Kacha’s finger was on the trigger, with all of the tension pulled out. As he tracked the figure through the door he noticed something different, these were much smaller then Iscandarians and they didn’t look like Iscandarians. By the time the man began his jump Kacha’s finger was already off the trigger, with his rifle moving to the upward position. He continued to track the Terrans with his head until they took up positions protecting the civilians, hunkering down over them as if to protect them from fire. Kacha chuckled through his exterior speaker and was about to speak before Ura screamed “ Gun!”. As he whipped his head around to face the Terrans he saw the gun being drawn in slow motion and instinctively dove towards the ground as the round left the chamber. The shot impacted his left shoulder and whipped him around onto his stomach, the floor of the cabin scraping against his magazine pouches as he fell. Ura had already dove towards the ground by the time the Terran shot, making the round go over his head and into the wall behind him. The pain from the shot subsided quickly making Kacha question the type of round that was used. When the Terran began to speak however it all make sense, he could understand them. Before he had time to say anything back he saw Ura quickly get up to engage the Terrans, pistol in hand. “ No!” Kacha screamed getting up off his stomach and running over to Ura, tackling him to the ground before he fired a shot. “ Some Spec-ops you are…” Kacha yelled after taking the pistol from Ura “ I……” was all he got out before the Iscandarians broke through the door, shooting everyone inside, including civilians . It wasn’t long before the pair was overwhelmed with pain from the Iscandarian fire, passing out. Oceans of Jul Icarus The captain let out a quiet hum as the Terrans discussed the Iscandarians, he guessed they were talking about the war and this new enemy of theirs. He also deduced that they weren’t too fond of their new enemy either “ We abandoned simple ballistics some time ago. It was just too inconsistent with too many variables able to make the mechanism fail. Now every weapon in the concordant has switched to magnetic acceleration for propulsion, making them…….railguns…as you say?. As for these Iscandarians, I believe we have met on the field of battle once. If that is what you came here to talk about, then I suggest we start now, I can better brief my superiors when we return to land.”
