He knew their time was coming to an end tonight, on one hand he was happy but on the others, more heavier hand, he was sad. Prim had been a fantastic date he had hoped their first real outing together had been less weird without so many eyes on them but he was still glad for the time. They both had fun and to his knowledge, the plan was only getting stronger thanks to people like Johanna and Peeta. Prim kissed him once more, something he was never going to get tired of. "No one ever will." He assured the petite woman. He closed his eyes and rested his forehead against hers the way he had done back up in the suite against the wall. Gale really wished he could find a way to bottle up the moments of calm and happiness and save them for when he needed them the most. All he could do now was try and remember every detail, thought, feeling, sound, taste...everything. If he was struggling in the arena, he knew he'd be able to remember the times with Prim and that would be enough to push him further, to keep going until they were as far away from the horrors of the Capitol as possible. Her hands in his hair, for instance, were gentle and teasing but he would surely find the affection life saving in a few days. "I know." He said softly and glanced off to check again if anyone was looking. No one was. He flashed the girl a toothless smile before he got up and grabbed his coat and slipped it over her shoulders. Then holding onto the sleeves, he used them to smoothly pull Prim to her feet. In the same movement, his lips kissed the top of her nose softly before he offered his arm to her. Though spring was nearly upon them, the air was still able to take a plunge after sunset. Part of him even wished he had been able to see a sunset at the Capitol. Even though he hated the place, he knew it had it's own haunting charm and thought the sunset would bring him back home. Unfortunately they were often training when it happened or away from a window to the outside world. He shook the thought away and walked with Prim back inside. There were still a lot of people dancing and drinking but he could only see a handful of Tributes around. Gale kept walking until they got to the elevator. He figured the short trip across the building didn't warrant an escort so they were on their own. "I guess the others went up." He hadn't seen Effie but he thought he saw Peeta with a pink haired girl chatting. He didn't think much of it. How could he think about Peeta with Prim on his arm? "Thank you for being a lovely date." He said to Prim as they waited for the elevator, giving her a mock bow of his head. "It was an honor." Gale joked, though in all honesty, he was really happy to be with her. He didn't feel this happy around anyone else but her. And he couldn't help but remind her of that fact as he kissed her cheek, just in case anyone was around. A kiss on the cheek would be seen as harmless, surely.
