Planets of Legacy
Brief Description: This world ought not to need much introduction. The main focal point of the first arc and home to nearly every major character. A monarchy in politics and rather advanced by scientific standards, Earth has become a focal point for intergalactic activity ever since the first Saiyans had planted their soles on its surface. The climates on the planet vary perhaps more than any other world in current knowledge, and as a result can host any number of life, both native and alien. Since the beginning of the journey it has seen a handful of battles take place, and is currently recovering from a Saiyan attack a few weeks prior.

Climates:[/*] Planet Earth has nearly every climate imaginable, thanks in part to its varied temperatures. From lush green jungles and rainforests to arid, unforgiving deserts, the planet's surface encompasses a wide variety of areas. The two polar caps of the planet are the coldest areas found anywhere, reaching well below zero degrees, with the coldest temperatures often reaching -60 Celsius. Only the hardiest of life thrives here, and very few if any humans or other races call these places home. The much more populous temperate and grassland areas play host to thousands of lifeforms, among the most of any climate, save for the jungles and massive forests. The warmest places on the planet, sometimes reaching 50 Celsius, are home to a few of the races, though only the bravest settle here. Massive swathes of oceans, making up nearly 70% of the entire planet, house the more tropical and lush environments, often found along coasts.
Races:[/*] Humans make up the largest portion of the races on this world, easily outnumbering all of the others combined by at least 5 to 1. They live in almost every region imaginable and are quite keen when it comes to adapting to the environment. In spite of being the weakest of many races they are the main driving force behind expansion, politics, exploration and commerce. Saiyans are a far less numerous peoples on Earth, but by far the strongest. There are no longer any pure Saiyans left, with the closest to that being half and quarter breeds. The general populace is well aware of their existence by now, and to some degree hold these few in reverence for their forefather's deeds in the past. Such attention has driven nearly all to a life of privacy, none particularly liking the limelight. Human-Anthros are the third major race on Earth, and their numbers are not nearly as high as humans and only a few thousand strong in all. These people do not differ greatly from their typical human counterparts really, save for their appearance. Socially they are every bit as equal as their brethren, and the king of the planet is even counted among their numbers. In spite of that claim they hold no prominence over the others.
Technology:[/*] Where Humans may lack in strength they more than make up for in intelligence. Universally they are amongst one of the more advanced races, making numerous breakthroughs in both general technology and medicine. Numerous companies have sprung up in recent years, all vying to produce or discover the next great breakthrough in technology. Capsule Corporation has and is still at the forefront of this push, acting as a sort of guide for sister companies. Advances in technology has led to multiple advancements in society as a whole, especially where space travel is concerned. Ships now are lighter, more maneuverable and durable than ever before. By no means do they harbor the offensive capabilities of a Saiyan vessel, and they certainly do not compare to the fleet, streamlined Uuonian crafts. Nonetheless they have improved, and it's a safe bet that future generations will be venturing amongst the stars in no time. Led by the rule of Yamate, it is a bustling metropolis, though only a pleasant place for those of good social standing and power. Not a terribly big or resource rich world the Saiyans expanded their reach to neighboring worlds via trade, and then for undisclosed reasons began to assimilate other planets into their fold, usually by force. With the rebellion now beginning to fight back expansion has all but stopped, the bulk of forces focused on maintaining what worlds they have and ending the uprising.

Climate: Kortal is not nearly as varied or dramatic in its climates. On average the temperature hovers around a very comfortable 30 degrees Celsius, and stays that way nearly year round. At its highest peak it can reach up to roughly 38 Celsius, and at its coldest only 10 Celsius. With no extremes on this world deserts and polar regions are non existent, even at the two poles. The majority of Kortal is covered in far-spreading grasslands, with intermittent forests breaking up the otherwise sea of green. Of notable size there are only four major bodies of water, two of which are connected by a several-kilometer strait. [/*]
Races:[/*] Being the Saiyan home world it should come as no surprise that Saiyans are the dominant race. A warrior peoples, their denizens make up some of the strongest combatants in the entire universe. Their numbers make up about 95% of Kortal's population, thus making any other race's numbers negligible, not that any other race seems to be officially counted. Like on the planet Earth the Saiyans are led by a king. Yamate, the King of Saiyans, took power by force, and is currently the only known living Super Saiyan.
Technology:[/*] The Saiyan race is one of the most technologically advanced in the entire universe, though not much of this technology is of their own design. Taken from other worlds and then adapted from their own use, the Saiyans have numerous devices and systems that would be heralded as scientific breakthroughs on other worlds. From the Yulians, for example, they took a more advanced form of their healing pods, ones that could expedite the recovery process by nearly 20%. Their ships are for the most part of their own design, and are the most powerful in terms of combat and armor. They are slower than other contemporary ships, and often lose pursuits against fleeing Uuonian ships, for example. Notable residents: Yamate, Krom, Kai, Choi, Kabocha.

The heart of the rebellion against Yamate and his war machine. An otherwise wilderness-strewn world, the largest city aptly named The Capitol rests in the breast of an inactive volcano that has since turned into a lake. Various smaller settlements can be found dotting the landscape, but nothing of real significance stands out save perhaps for the peculiar fauna growing there. Having been attacked by the Saiyans as well the Capitol is currently rebuilding, and since the group's departure it's current status is unknown.

Climate:[/*] Uuonoe is a temperate planet the world over, often covered in vast expanses of vegetation or large oceans. The planet's temperatures remain fairly stable throughout the year, from 15 Celsius to 32 degrees Celsius. Where trees do not thrive a thick, purple moss grows on the ground, often being rather thick and cushy. The exception to this is in the few dormant volcanic craters that dot the landscape. Many of these are more of a forest at its center, and the major cities are built in these.
Races:[/*] As their namesake would suggest the Uuonians are the sole native residents and the most populous. Smaller in stature than many races and having a purplish flesh tone, they have slightly elongated heads and limbs in contrast to their smaller bodies. They are also among the most intelligent of any alien race in the universe. Whereas the Saiyans have copied other races the Uuonians have been able to recreate similar systems without reverse engineering. As the heart of the rebellion many other races have settled on Uuonoe as well. The most notable of races taking refuge here are the Saiyans, and as of more recent the Yulians.
Technology:[/*] Uuonians are credited with being some of the most brilliant minds in the universe, and as such are heavily sought after as prisoners by Yamate. Nearly all of their technology is their own, making up for what they lack in natural physical prowess with exceptionally good weapons and ships. They can travel faster than any ship, save perhaps for Namekian ships, and their engines are the most efficient. Healing gel is used in place of a full-body tank and the results are the same, suggesting the Uuonians know how to use the material without having to fully submerge a patient. Nearly all of their energy is solar powered, thanks to their year round exposure to their two suns. The Uuonians are also responsible for the altering of Saiyan communicators for the rebel forces, and were actually the original inventors of the language translator that has since been adopted by Saiyan forces as well. Notable residents: Korian, Sayomi, Sasha, Ricken, Leto.

A dry, arid desert world and site of the Princes' first rebellion mission. Vicious sandstorms regularly cut across the surface, some large enough to even see from space. Much of the open space of the planet is scarred by some unknown means, possibly melting of ice or erosion by since-evaporated water. It had been the site of Saiyan slave labor for some time, but has since been freed and is presumably recovered by now.

Climate:[/*] The climate on Shaharia is by far the most hostile of any world yet visited. Nigh uninhabitable to any other species, the temperatures are always of a scorching heat. During the day the temperature outside is always at least 32 Celsius, and by mid-day can rise to as high as 50 Celsius. By contrast the nights are a bitter cold, as low as 4 Celsius at some points. These extreme temperature variations make sustaining life difficult, and as such much of it is an arid desert. Settlements crop up around the few bodies of water there are, and most plant life is found there as well.
Races:[/*] The only known race to live on Shaharia are its native peoples, the Shaharians. Lizardmen traditionally, they stand upright, walk on two hind legs and act as humanoid as any other species. Their features however are distinctly reptilian, having elongated heads, tails, scaly skin and claws in the place of fingernails. They settle in distinct communities, and lead community, usually number in the few hundred, is led by a shaman.
Technology:[/*] Not a lot is known about the technology on Shaharia. They are a space faring people, but comparatively their ships are outdated, matching some older human vessels. Much of their society is agriculturally based, so the bulk of their technology is centered around that. They do have a number of natural medicines, some whose potency astonished the Saiyans when they first arrived. To combat the dreary frigid temperatures during the night they have panels on their buildings to trap not only sunlight, but heat as well. With their buildings being made of brick and mud they heat their homes with trapped energy, and collect it again the following morning. Notable residents: Shaharian Shaman Servas.

Covered in ice and snow, Pagonia is a very inhospitable world with temperatures reaching well below zero... On a warm day. Its mountainous terrain and deep chasms make it one of the most difficult worlds to traverse, and also one of the easiest to defend. With its strategic location and natural defenses it was taken by the Saiyans a few months prior, and almost instantly bases were set up, chief amongst which was an outer-lying communications post. The world and its inhabitants remained under Saiyan rule for almost two years until the rebels made their move against it, attacking the key outpost along the northern ice shelves. Once it fell and the residing army was removed the control of the world was placed back in the hands of its native residents.

Climate:[/*] Some areas of the planet are lucky enough to be simple taigas, seeing the only real reprieve from snow planet wide. Even then, they are covered in a blanket for most of the year and always experience at least near freezing temperatures. The remainder of the planet is incessantly covered in ice, with heavy regular snowfall blanketing and adding onto the layers. During their stay on the world Saiyans reported the temperatures to dip as low as -40 Celsius, and the warmest temperature recorded was only -15 Celsius.
Races:[/*] Like Shaharia, the inhospitable nature of Pagonia leaves little in the way of residence for other races of peoples. As such the only race that is worth mention here are the Narbu peoples.
Technology:[/*] The Narbu are a relatively simplistic peoples. While they have knowledge of current technologies and possess equivalents to some they usually live more natural lives. Homes are constructed of hides and bones, though amenities within these homes are more modern. Their tools of war are on par with that of Saiyans, ranging from blasters to the few ships that they possess. Notable residents: Narbu leader.
Narbu CS

A vast and nearly overgrown world whose surface is all but blanketed in vegetation, it's a gem hidden amongst the stars. Despite being within easy access of Saiyans the world has never been disturbed, namely due to lack of obvious resources and their people not being exceptionally powerful in any regard. Civilizations here, like on Shaharia, are far and few between but much larger in size, being visible from great altitudes. In addition to the cities a few dozen massive pillars have been erected in the ground, shown to spout up an unusual energy into the atmosphere that has since been credited with helping the planet's lush wildlife thrive. As of now it is where the group find themselves, trying to settle a civil war between the two factions of the world.

Climate:[/*] Kaesstra's entire surface is blanketed by lush, towering forests and deep blue oceans and rivers. The planet rarely if ever knows any cold temperatures, with annual ranges only going as low as 15 Celsius and the highest being 26 Celsius. The only two real seasons are wet and dry here, with each spanning about half of the lunar calendar. Wet seasons can see anywhere from 7 meters of rain to 10 meters of rain over a 7 month period. Dry seasons still receive rainfall, but the storms are so spread apart and minor by comparison they're not recorded.
Races:[/*] Kaesstrians make up the only race that inhabits Kaesstra, despite its idealistic climate for other life. These moth-like people are bipedal, their average height coinciding with that of humans, around 1.5m to 2m, though larger Kaesstrians are not uncommon. They are not a particularly bulky race in terms of muscle mass, with some exceptions again. Socially, there are higher and lower classes, though its often difficult to pick out who belongs to what group from an outsider's viewpoint. Currently the people are split into two distinct factions; those who want to use the energy of the planet for growth and those who are against abusing the energy.
Technology:[/*] From a technological stand the Kaesstrians are a bit of an enigma. Medicines, like on Shaharia, are almost all purely natural. Very little if any technology is used when helping a patient, save perhaps for bandages and splints. Their buildings feature plenty of commodities, even most of the lower class members having access to some of these, and everything is powered by a combination of solar, wind, and dam generated electricity. They have shown that they've access to several higher end technologies, such as holographic displays, communication systems, and the pillars used to focus the energy's errant energies skyward. Despite having so much at their disposal the Kaesstrians are one of the very few races that has not yet achieved space travel. Since they have little to offer, both in terms of manpower and resources, they've largely been left alone by the war, only getting occasional visitors. Due to this they have very little chance to examine ships, and are only now just working towards making their own.
