 Appearance: Shawu comes on the south side of Republic City where the looming skyscrapers of Future Industries look down on them. The clothing and style common to this area reflects that of a more posh society. This means expensive leather belts and high quality cotton shirts and trousers, Shawu prefers the posh but mellow side of apparel. Greys and Blues suit him nicely. Blacks occasionally though usually those are reserved for times of grieving. On to Shawu’s body itself, He has a very distinct haircut. The top of his hair is slicked back into a pony tail while the sides are shaved clean. There is a distinct line of grey hair that runs through his hairline. 

 His body type resembles that of a well-kempt wirey body. Muscles tight but lean. Abs hard but barely visible. Legs solid but skinny. He has a well-kempt beard that he plans to keep. His eyes are a bright green. His face is chiseled but remarkably innocent. His smile is incredibly recognizable. His white teeth and big grin attract onlookers in a very warm way.

 Abilities: Shawu uses skills he learned from tutors in the area. He is what some benders would call him a yuppie bender. Because of his posh influences his technique is very boring. Effective but not creative. Someday he wishes to expand on his abilities but at the moment he wishes to focus on his studies.

 

 Equipment: Cell phone and various utensils such as pencil and paper. He keeps some various jewelry he’s acquired from his father, mother and other forms of family.

 

 Personality: Shawu’s personality is very optimistic. He barely ever has something bad to say. He keeps his thoughts to himself but is not afraid to be honest if asked a question. He would never speak badly of anyone unless they deserved it. He is very thoughtful and has some “interesting“ thoughts about the way Future Industries has rised to power. He is usually very welcoming. Some may say too trusting. He is not good at seeing the bad in someone he loves. He is well-educated and is not afraid to correct someone. He is agonizingly polite to a fault. Despite all this he’s usually the life of the party. He knows how to make anyone feel wanted and he brings an air of fun anywhere he goes.

 

 Brief backstory: Shawu grew up on the southern side of Republic City. He has never moved outside of the city except to visit family or attend interviews. He aspires to one day be a politician. Most people don’t believe that he would make it considering his lack of deceitfulness. His father is a fisherman that travels often. His mother is a rising influence in the community. In other words she is a politician. Shawu acquired most of his personality traits from her. They are extremely close

 Though he would never tell his mother he wishes to be given some breathing room. His bending not only displays him as a sign of power but would also show him as a threat to other people in the political community. This is a big part of his decision to take after his mother and be a politician. The closest thing to a political bender would be some talented chi blockers that run fairly political campaigns on the northern side of republic city. His relationship with his father is complicated. His father being more tribal and Shawu being posh caused issues. His father wanted to go hunting and he wanted to read on the history of the political background of northern water tribes. These differences created a boundary between the two.
