Well as you can see Dorian doesn't really want to "beat" him. He just like... You know... 
Get him to back down on certain things?
Or at least think certain things through.
Minus the being a jerk generally trying to teach and get him to see things in a bit of a different way is how I would handle problems with one of my little brothers. I don't see him much anymore, but it's the best I could think of at the moment for someone who may not think in the "usual" way. Ya get me?
