Well instead of shit, you could actually make your own type of device that he could throw (I.E: a set of metal balls with other capabilities, hell you could just give him knives of some sort and his power is significantly increased. For his armor, since it's organic in nature, it can only be so strong, but I would say it can take a number of Solid Bullets and only a few shots from a Plasma gun but not to many. If you're worried it's under power, don't worry as the RP goes, all characters except my own and Maybe Misah (Ability wise) will grow
