Ruko requested a water as well and sat quietly as the rest of the food was served. He was glad to see that Marlix had arrived after all, and hoped that this meant that the girl from earlier was feeling better. Perhaps everything would go well during lunch, and perhaps the rest of the day would pass without trouble. 

...Of course, there was still plenty of daylight. And after that...he wondered if they could get to the next day without scaring anyone off. If the girls at least had a little time to get to know them before meeting the beasts, then perhaps they would have a better chance. But how long would be long enough?
