Lauralye wasn't sure if Robert had noticed because he was slightly in front of her, trying to keep himself between Lauralye and David, but she turned and ran before David even had a chance to finish his sentence. She didn't care about David's jabs at her or her father. All that she cared about was the fact that her father had been in that dungeon for who knows how long... Too long. She ran down the stairs and nearly tumbled down them before she luckily caught herself on the rock wall, scuffing up her hand. She threw open the door to the dungeons and she heard all the yelling of the prisoners. There was more pleading and begging and it broke her heart. Who knew who else David threw own here and what he was doing to them while they were. "Father!" She called into the dark and she pulled torch of the wall to let herself see better. She walked down the hall and deeper into the cells. She didn't know that there were this many people down here she had rarely been passed the first few.... She was too scared to go further. Finally, tucked in a corner, she found her father. She got to her knees in front of his cell, "Papa..." The old king look up at her before he scrambled forward and wrapped his arms around her through the bars, "Oh my baby girl!"
