Once she was captured, Ruby let out a distressed meow. Could the man not see that she was trying to escape from the building? Ruby could easily go into half-cat form and escape the man's grasp, as he probably would not be prepared for a sudden person appearing to be in his arms instead of a much smaller cat. When the man asked where her owner was, and if she had a collar, Ruby lets out another meow. Her thoughts were interrupted when a loud voice came from the stairs. It seemed to grab everyone's attention, except Ruby was still set on escaping.
