Having run many role plays this is an unfortunate side effect of roleplays that can not be avoided at times. Its not my roleplay of course, but perhaps if some thing was added in here and there so that the characters who are not fighting have something to do, then it would ease the tension. However I also know that we as characters could probably come up with something to do if we talked to each other. No one ever said we had to just sit there.
