Bio: Vartos's exact origins are up for debate. The truth really isn't clear, and you'd be hard pressed trying to get him to give you a concise answer. Prior to the phasing he had some what could be deemed a regular life. As regular as possible for someone suffering as much as he did, his father owned a mechanic shop, and his mother sold contraband of all sorts ranging from narcotics to illegal weaponry to support their family. However after the birth of his sister his life took a turn for the worst, he dedicated his life to protecting his sister Anna. His sister became his life, and he followed in the steps of his mother's life of crime to support his family against his father's wishes. During the phasing something happened, during the midst of the chaos he encountered a beast. Some would say it was a vampire, but it was clearly something more, something more sinister.

The creature attacked his family, but Vartos engaged in combat with the creature. He was beaten within an inch of his life but he managed to help his family escape. Not that it mattered as it seemed the entirety of Edge City was well on it's way into being devoured by all the beasts released from what he thought was the gates of Hell. The creature from the phasing took pity on him and considered him a strong specimen and gave Vartos some of it's own DNA. The next thing he knew Vartos was back to life, stronger, faster, and different. He had a lust to consume human flesh, and all his emotions were amplified his anger, his sadness, ect. He found out his father was dead murdered by beasts of unknown origin, his mother abandoning his sister to become part of the Anti-monster society, and his sister now taking up his mother's business to survive along with her best friend Elle. Now haunted with visions of his confrontation with his beast, and fueled with a vengeance to murder both the beast for what it had done to him, and his mother for abandoning his sister, he's joined the Monster and Supernatural Extermination Squad. Truth be told if he could he'd join his mother, because he wants nothing more then to lay waste to everything that came from the phasing and when he's done kill himself as well. 

Skills/Powers: Vampiric abilities including supernaturally enhanced strength, speed, senses, and durability. He has immortality in the sense that he's stopped aging but can still be killed, hypnosis, and deadly fangs. He is capable of feasting on the blood and flesh of other creatures elongating his jaws to devour them. Due to the non vampire half of the creature he is capable of manipulating and inducing mutations in himself and others.
