Kijani heard Connor step back in, and the warmth of the blankets covering her. His weight hit the bed. She heard what he said, that she never had to be sorry. Her chest hurt- she was holding her breath, trying to hold back the urge to weep. How could he possibly say something like that? How could he give her such an open lie, saying she should never be sorry, when he didn't know half of what went through her head? If he knew who she was deep down, he wouldn't say so. She knew that, she knew it- once people figured out what she wasn't, they'd be gone... Kijani held still and tried to fake sleeping until the sleeping pill kicked in. It was quick on an empty stomach, and she dropped into unconscious dark. -- Devika got off the wall once class was over, and made it quickly to the cafeteria. She got her food before the place filled up, and quickly headed outside. Her head was buzzing just from that, and the cafeteria had hardly been full. Today would be a headache day, she knew. Too many people, too many emotions. Too much.
