Play-by-post RPs, especially forum ones, are a mix of interactive fiction and collaborative writing.  Free roleplays are the easy mode here.  Casual is medium in standards.  Advanced is the hardest one.  Also, remember not to put all your eggs in one basket.  Pace yourself and use your time wisely.
