**Here's the rest of my CS, since I can't edit my other post** Bio: Destrian grew up in the lap of luxury. As the king’s only son, he was first in line for the crown, so of course he was treated as such. Even as a child, he had an endless stream of servants lined up to satisfy his will. All of his prestigious treatment made him arrogant, and as he aged he started to view others as less important than himself. After all, if he wasn’t, why did he receive everything he desired? His small, selfish world was turned upside down one day when he caught a servant girl stealing a loaf of bread from the royal kitchens. The sight of it disgusted him. A peasant thought she was worthy of food meant for the king himself? Such foolishness! He decided to follow her, intending to snatch the loaf away after she had taken a bite and then report her to the castle guards. However, when he tailed her to the servants’ quarters, he saw the girl take the bread to a small, pale child wrapped in thin blankets. She hadn’t taken it for herself. She was risking her own neck to take care of the little boy. He came out from hiding and approached the girl, asking her why she would do such a thing. The girl explained that the sickly child was her brother and they didn’t have enough to eat. This surprised Destrian. He knew the peasants didn’t have as much as the royal family did, but he had always assumed they were still well-off. No one had ever suggested anything otherwise to him. Ever since that day, Destrian began to notice more and more injustices being done to the poor people in the kingdom. He would travel through the peasant-filled sectors, wearing a cloak to conceal his face. He witnessed first-hand just how badly they were treated by the knights and the upper-class. His entire perspective was shifted and he vowed to make a change when he took over as the kingdom after his father. He wanted to become a ruler who looked out for all of his people, not just the wealthy. The only part of the kingdom’s discrimination that he struggled with was the persecution of wizards and witches. He understood the reasoning behind it, but after witnessing several executions, he found it hard to believe that all magic-users were evil. Some of the people his father had sentenced were only children. When considering what he planned to do as the next king, Destrian was always torn between his desire to protect the kingdom, and his desire to protect all of its people. Other: Destrian has always had a fondness for music. It is the only part of the royal balls his father mandates him to attend that he enjoys. He also spends his spare time learning songs on his lute to help him relax after stressful days.
