A ghost of a smile graced Mitch's face to hear that Karaiyah wouldn't judge. It was good to know that he'd be accepted here, by at least one person. While he'd never have been seen baiting on street corners, there were still people who had looked down upon him for his actions. He didn't mind her murder charge; he knew from experience that there were people in this world who were better off dead. But he had to take some offence to her assumption that he had been arrested on attempted murder. "*Hey!*" He retorted, snappier than he meant to be. Still, his face grew cold. "Look I'm sure that whoever you killed certainly deserved it -really, I am- but I never tried to *kill* anybody! It was an assault charge, nothing more!" He knew that, rationally, he shouldn't take such offence. After all, the two charges were mixed up all the time, Kai had made an honest mistake. And he wasn't ashamed of his crimes; he'd freely own up to them, but he had never intended to hurt anybody. Embarrassed, he cast his eyes downward, stature changing from aggressive to reserved. "I..." He inwardly slapped himself, retreating to grab his bag, then turning and walking past Karaiyah and out the door. "I'm gonna go... Gonna to take a shower."
