Karaiyah flinched at his snap, face falling considerably and turning red, as it always did when she was upset and trying to hide it. Which, naturally, made it more obvious. She nodded, not trusting her words to not fail her. She quickly walked out, whispering "so sorry" softly before closing the door behind her. She went into her own room, not even bothering to close the door before she sat next to the wall, head in her knees as she muttered to herself. "Stupid, stupid, stupid. You're so stupid, Kai. It was a stupid joke and you made a stupid mistake and you'll be lucky if he even wants to see you again." She took a shuddering breath, before composing herself and leaving a note on her door saying she was down at the bay and she'd be back soon. She ran out of the house, grateful that no one noticed her state as she absconded to the bay. She arrived by foot awhile later, shedding her clothes before diving into the water gracefully. She felt her tail form and her stress ebb away as she started doing simple tricks and stunts to distract herself.
