I'm rather curious how this whole thing starts. Do we all know each other, even vaguely, or are we brought together for the first time? Is this a kind of reluctant situation like being sucked into the digital world, or do we go forth having chosen to take on the burden? Brainstorming that would be a good idea.

As far as interaction, regardless of familiarity, Toma talks and acts shyly and awkward. You have to really try to get him to hold a conversation, then he will probably open up, if you can call it that. He will hopefully develop as the plot goes on, but at the start he won't go out of his way to talk to anyone.
