Oooh trust me, some powers your characters have will really greatly change some things. A little early spoiler: Grinnoc's second in command despises any type of curses. He's usually calm, reserved and simply cool. Try to use a curse with him nearby, and that will send him into a rampage. Which pretty much removes the collateral damage consideration when considering what to do next. And under normal circumstances, not causing extreme collateral damage is his main worry during combat. But he will only be introduced/relevant later on anyway.
