She is a Celestial. While not totally resistant to magic, spells that are meant to affect the integrity of their person are almost dismissive. They have a contract with the World since their birth and it prevents them from ever being twisted into another person image by magic. This is especially true for Mithrail, who's ego is like a magic shield in itself; she refuses to be the pawn of some mages magic.
